The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Ph.D has appointed Obute Onogwu James as Senior Legislative Aide on Media (Print).
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Musa Abdullahi Kirishi who confirmed and conveyed the message of his appointment, said it is with immediate effect.
Obute James has been in journalism practice for about two decades. He has worked with many media houses including Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and Desert Herald Newspaper. He is the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of The Legislature, the first independent legislative online media in the country.
Obute had his under graduate programme in Mass Communication as well as obtained PGD in Journalism from International Institute of Journalism, Abuja. He also had B.Ed in Administration and Planning/English Language from University of Jos.
