The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial district, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, has stated that poverty must be eradicated in Osun East.
The lawmaker made the statement in a press release on Friday while congratulating all the 350 beneficiaries of the recently concluded poultry empowerment program, he urged them to be a good Ambassadors of Ife/ Ijesa Senatorial district.;
Senator Fadahunsi, said he has made Human Capital development a major priority, and that every Youth and women of his Senatorial district must have a source of income.
He further said his major purpose for looking in the direction of poultry farming is because of the business lucrativeness. “Poultry is very lucrative, you can do your small farm in your house and in less than three months you make your money”. He added.
According to the senator, his believe and trust for his constituents, Was the motive behind the single handedly facilitated empowerment programs, to make Osun East, poverty free.
The recently concluded empowerment program is the sixth of its kind organized and financed 100% by Senator Fadahunsi in the last 50 days, with over about 2000 beneficiaries in the last 6 weeks.
Fadahunsi added that, all the 350 beneficiaries will be given a day old chicks, starter packs, feeds, drinkers, vaccines, crates and grants to start up their poultry farming immediately.
“We would ensure a post training follow up is carried out, we would also give more financial backing “ he further added.
The Senator said “he has always had unwavering love to help unemployed individuals around him before he ventured into politics, and stated that the programs were his ways to give back to the society that made him.
Senator Fadahunsi enjoined beneficiaries of the skill acquisition program to pay attention all they learnt during the training with a view to maximizing the opportunities provided by the program.
One of the beneficiaries of the empowerment program, Aluko Samuel, said that, his life would not remain the same after the training given the opportunities embedded in poultry farming.
