National Secretary Academic Staff Union of Research Institute Chief, Dr Theophilus Ndukaku has accused the Nigeria Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed of sabotaging all the Research Institute in Nigeria.
Dr Ndukaku made called when he lead the protest to the ministry of finance headquaters in Abuja on Thursday.
According to him, the Minister of Finance refused to pay 10 Billions of 13 years arrears of conriss salary negotiations approved by president Muhammad Buhari .
He says ,after several appeal from the minister of Agriculture and and other relevant Agencies of Government to the Minister of finance,they were surprised as the Minister continue on given excuse.
According to him, Nigeria remains the poverty capital of the world, insecurity and under developed as a result of neglect in research Institution which in other developed world remain the bed rock of economy.
He says, no Nation will developed when government refused to pay attention to research Institution.
He alleged that the Minister of finance have started paying some institutions through the back door with the evidence of payment without the knowledge of National body.
According to him, for the research Institute Nigeria to survive, he appeal to president Muhammad Buhari, the press and other well meaning Nigeria to intervene and talk to the minister to avoid more Industrial crisis and total collapse of research Institute in Nigeria.
