AIG Garba Baba Umar, psc, has emerged the duly elected Vice President of the Head of INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Nigeria.
AIG Garba was elected on thursday in the 89th INTERPOL General Assembly held at the Halic Congress Hall, Istanbul, Turkey.
According observer, AIG was Elected as a result of Had work, commitment and dedication for several years of his service.
The 2021 General Assembly this year 2021 had in attendance 470 Police Chiefs, Senior Law Enforcement Officials and minister from the 195 INTERPOL member countries ,who were gathered to identify areas where the organization can reinforce the global security architecture against national and trans -border crimes.
Since the AIG Garba was appointed as a head affairs at they Interpol, he has declared war against Inter boarder crime in Nigeria.
AIG Garba is one of finest criminal investigators, crime booster and professional strategic police manager of Nigeria, with over thirty (30) years policing experience both at local and international.
With this appointment of AIG Garba, expectation are high in 3yrs period which is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in coordinating INPERPOL operations targeted at ensuring a safer world for people across the African continent especially Insecurity around the world in protecting the cyber space and generally.

Accompanied by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc , NPM, fdc.
other members of the delegation were: the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa ,Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo (represented by the Naval Provost Marshal).
