The Ag.Chairman of Federal Character Commission (NCC) Hon.Kayode Oladale has said three critical reform is needed to enable the commission correct imbalance and equitable distribution across the country.
Hon. Oladale stated this today in Abuja in an interaction sessions with the House of Representative Committee on Federal Character.
According to him,inline with president Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, it is necessary that all part of Nigeria is given equal opportunity, in doing that,reform need be carried out,which includes,Legislative reform for the uses of technology to collate data,capacity building and budgeting collaboration for proper funding.
He said,”our founding father sees the need for the unity of the country and it is important we carry every part of country along said,Commission can not do that without the support of National Assembly.”
Hon.Oladale agreed the position of the Committee that in the past imbalance in equitable distribution of Federal character principles but under his watch ,he will ensure that anomaly is corrected.
He request for more founds to enable the commission carryout constitutional mandate inline with president Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
Responding,The Chairman House Representative Committee on Federal Character and former Deputy Speaker,Hon Ahmed Idris Wase commended Hon. Oladale for his plans to revive principle of Federal Character and give equal n to all Nigerian.
He said the mandate of the commission is not only on personal distribution but also infrastructure distribution, asked the Ag Chairman to ensure that no Nigerian or part Nigeria is sub-change.
He assure the Chairman that the Committee is ready to give their support,he requested that federal Character commission should submit their nominal roll to committee for proper clarification.
He warned the commission not to allow any agency of government takeover their role as they only agencies government mandated to do the job.
