In a significant political boost ahead of the 2027 elections, Hon. Jerry Anson Otu, Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Member representing Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara State Constituency, has secured the full endorsement of the Nka Iso Iban Organization a prominent cooperative group based in Ikot Idem village, Ward 7, Ikot Ekpene LGA.
The endorsement came during a special event hosted by the cooperative in honor of the lawmaker, who was accompanied by key political allies and warmly received by jubilant members of the community.
The President of Nka Iso Iban, Mrs. Rose Silas, welcomed Hon. Otu with heartfelt appreciation, citing his unwavering support for women empowerment, education, healthcare, and local enterprise development. She described the lawmaker as a “symbol of unity, growth, and selfless leadership.”
Adding political weight to the event, Hon. Iberedem Akpan, Protocol Officer to the Executive Chairman of Obot Akara LGA, Hon. Simon Dominic, reaffirmed the Chairman’s full support for Hon. Otu’s re-election. He lauded the endorsement by Nka Iso Iban as a powerful expression of grassroots confidence in the lawmaker’s leadership and vision.
Taking the stage amidst cheers and praise songs, Hon. Otu expressed deep gratitude to God and the people of Ikot Idem for their continued trust. He declared the event a divine signal for 2027, calling it “Uduak-Abasi 2027”meaning “God’s Will for 2027.”
In a gesture that further cemented his popularity among the cooperative, Hon. Otu donated a ₦1.2 million business grant to support the group’s entrepreneurial efforts, aiming to uplift women-led small businesses and strengthen the local economy.
The atmosphere was electric, filled with songs, prayers, and goodwill messages, as community members pledged their loyalty and support for Hon. Otu’s political journey.
As 2027 draws near, Hon. Jerry Otu’s growing grassroots support appears to set a solid foundation for a second term in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
