The National Assembly New Media Forum (NANMF) has congratulated Mr. Rawlins Agada Emmanuel on his appointment as Clerk of the Senate, describing the elevation as a recognition of his years of dedicated service to the legislature.
In a brief ceremony at the National Assembly Complex, the Forum, led by its Chairman, Mr. Clement Nwabuko, presented a congratulatory card to Mr. Emmanuel in appreciation of his professionalism and commitment to public service.
Nwabuko lauded the appointment as “well-deserved,” noting that it reflects Emmanuel’s hard work and consistency over the years.
“This appointment is not just a personal achievement, but also a recognition of your diligent service to the National Assembly. It is a proud moment not only for you but also for all who have worked alongside you and witnessed your dedication,” Nwabuko said.
He recalled Emmanuel’s role in supporting the Forum’s inauguration on May 15, 2019, while serving as Director of Information under the Omolori-led management, noting that his contributions laid the foundation for what has become a vibrant media platform.
“Your support at that time was invaluable, and we remain grateful. We are committed to standing by you to ensure success in your new office,” he added.
Responding on behalf of the Senate Clerk, his Chief of Staff, Mr. Mari Mohammed, thanked the Forum for the gesture, assuring them of the Senate management’s continued cooperation with the media.
He urged journalists covering the National Assembly to remain professional and uphold the ethics of the profession in their reporting.
The NANMF, made up of journalists and media professionals using digital platforms, continues to play a key role in promoting transparency and accountability within Nigeria’s legislative processes.
