In a recent meeting with the leadership of the APC X (Twitter) Eagle Forum, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, emphasized the importance of promoting peace, staying focused, and being innovative for Nigerian youths.
Senator Barau, who also serves as the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, shared how he was mentored by patriotic politicians such as the late Malam Aminu Kano and Alhaji Abubakar Rimi, who dedicated their lives to Nigeria’s development. He urged the youths to carry forward their legacy with integrity and commitment.
Highlighting the significance of constructive political engagement, Senator Barau advised the forum members to focus on promoting the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) instead of engaging in divisive rhetoric. He emphasized the role of the youths as future leaders, urging them to be prepared to lead with the country’s best interests at heart.
The forum’s Chairman and Secretary, Ahmad Gogel and Muhammad Ibrahim Tudun Wada, commended Senator Barau for sponsoring the bill for the establishment of the North West Development Commission (NWDC). They expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for assenting to the bill and highlighted the importance of the commission in addressing challenges in the North West geopolitical zone.
The forum members presented a nomination letter to Senator Barau as their Grand Patron, recognizing his commitment to promoting peace and innovation among Nigerian youths.
