The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, expressed his condolences today on the passing of Hajiya Dada, the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua. Hajiya Dada passed away at the age of 102.
Hajiya Dada was not only the mother of the late President Yar’adua, but also of the late Shehu Musa Yar’adua and Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army.
Senator Barau, in a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, prayed for Allah to forgive her sins and grant her a place in Jannatul Firdausi.
He also extended his condolences to Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua and the rest of her family, urging them to find comfort in her dedication to Allah and humanity throughout her life.
“Hajiya Dada was a devoted Muslim who lived a life of service to Allah and humanity. May Allah grant her a place in Jannatul Firdausi.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua and all those who knew and loved Hajiya Dada. May Allah give them the strength to endure this great loss,” Senator Barau said.
