The senator Representing Kogi West,Senator Sunday Karimi, has urged Senator Ali Ndume to refrain from making derogatory statements against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a media briefing recently, Senator Karimi expressed concern over Senator Ndume’s behavior, emphasizing the need for constructive dialogue and criticism in governance.
Senator Karimi noted that many of Senator Ndume’s criticisms appear to be driven by a personal agenda, rather than a genuine commitment to improving governance. He pointed out the inconsistency in Senator Ndume’s approach, particularly his silence during the previous administration.
The law maker emphasized that many of Senator Ndume’s allegations lack substantiated evidence, and are driven by a “pull-down syndrome” rather than a desire to improve the country. He urged Senator Ndume to exercise caution in his statements, lest they further polarize the polity and divide the nation.
As an experienced legislator with over two decades of service in the National Assembly, Senator Ndume is encouraged to adopt a more constructive and responsible approach to criticism. Senator Karimi’s call serves as a reminder of the importance of engaging in meaningful dialogue and fostering unity in the pursuit of national development.
In conclusion, Senator Karimi’s appeal to Senator Ndume highlights the need for responsible and constructive criticism in governance. By working together and prioritizing the nation’s interests, Nigeria’s leaders can create a brighter future for all citizens.
