The member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, Rep Patrick Umoh, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for presenting a comprehensive 2025 budget proposal.
The proposal, which totals N47.96 trillion, aligns with Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda and aims to consolidate on the budget performance index of 2024.
Rep. Umoh, who chairs the House Committee on health institutions, described the budget as “ambitious” and praised President Tinubu for his courage in presenting a budget that prioritizes national and social security, social economy reforms, and other critical areas.
The lawmaker urged Ministries and Government agencies to cooperate with the parliament to ensure the budget’s expeditious passage.
He also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu, who has been in office for just eighteen months and has made significant strides in addressing the country’s challenges.
Rep. Umoh expressed confidence that President Tinubu is doing his best to address the country’s economic pressures and assured Nigerians that things will get better with Tinubu at the helm.
