The house of representative has threating to Invokes constitutional provision against Real Estate Developer’s in FCT,
Chairman House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the operations of real estate developers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Hon Blessing Onuh, made the threat during the investigative hearing at the national assembly in Abuja,
Mrs Onuh express disappointment of the national assembly on the attitude of some of the Real Estate Developer’s for refusing to honour the invitation of the committee.
She said,over 1,000 Estate Developer’s has involved in the petition the committee received so far but she was surprised that majority of Developer didnot honour the invitation ,she said, very soon the committee has no option than to use power of the constitution as a representative of the people.
She told the estate developers in FCT that, the national assembly as a representative of people will not watching them defrauding Nigerians of their earn hard money.
According to her, the House is inundated with complaints by members of the public against the operations of the developers so it for their good to come and cleared their name.
HON Onuh disclosed that the committee will pay attention to all the complain from the victim and will be fair to all parties involved.
The investigation continue.
