Deputy chairman House of Representative Committee on Public Account and member Representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nassarawa Eggon Federal constituency of Nassarawa state,Hon Jeremiah Umaru has said, that the House of Representative will not spare any one found guilty in the ongoing probe of Covid 19 fund before his Committee.
Hon.Jeremiah stated this on Thursday while speaking with newsmen after the committees hearing with the Nigerian Metrological Agency (NIMET) at the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
According to PAC Deputy chairman,the era of collecting Government funds in the name of project and misappropriating it is over, he said that the National Assembly under the leadership of the Hounrable speaker,Rt Hon Tajudeen Abas will not condole corruption in the system.
Hon.Jeremaih assured Nigerians that 10th National Assembly is out to give purposeful representation and that the ongoing probes will not be swept under the carpet.
He also said Nigerians should expect to see strict sanctions meted at any Government departments and agencies found guilty of misappropriation funds at the conclusion of the probes and refund of funds to Government purse.
He further urged Nigerians to cooperate with the 10th Assembly as they are ready to provide the needed devidend of democracy and work to achieved the renewed hope of present administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Hon Jeremiah also seized the opportunity to congratulate the Governor of Nassarawa State Alhaji Abdullahi Sule on his victory at the supreme court,he appealed to the Governor to ensure every body is carried along, “the era of politics is over, now is time to serve”, he added.
