The Federal Government is set to host the 2024 Nigeria Health Sector-Wide Joint Annual Review (JAR) from November 6 to 8, 2024, in Abuja.
This stakeholders’ meeting, organized by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, aims to evaluate the health sector’s performance and highlight achievements under its newly implemented Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp)the JAR meeting will comprise two key components: technical review sessions and a high-level political review.
During the technical sessions, stakeholders will assess vital performance indicators, focusing on progress, challenges and areas requiring improvement. The political review will secure commitments from policymakers to propel Nigeria’s health priorities and objectives forward.
” The maiden 2024 Nigeria Health Sector-Wide Joint Annual Review JAR will feature two major components-technical review sessions where Stakeholders will assess key performance indicators and a high- level political review to secure the political commitment needed to advance Nigeria’s Health priorities and goals.”
This landmark event marks a significant stride in the Federal Government’s efforts to revitalize the health sector. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the government seeks to enhance healthcare delivery, address existing gaps and pave the way for sustainable development.
