Government Should Stop the Uses of Foreign Currencies in Nigerian and People be Allowed to Defend Themselves —- Sen.Ned Nwok

The senator representing Delta North senatorial district, Ned Nwoko, has called Nigeria President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to saved Nigeria economy by stop uses of foreign Currencies in Nigeria.

Sen.Nwoko stated this today in Abuja while speaking to newsmen on the economy crisis and insecurity in Nigeria.

According to him,they is no country in the world that will allowed the uses of foreign currency as means of exchange except Nigeria Sen. Ned says”.

He noted that the president need political will to saved Nigeria from economy crisis, insecurity and food insecurity.

He says,Nigeria should begins to ask themselves what happened to our naira that are value above dollar and other currencies in 70s.

He explained that what Nigeria need to do now is to step the uses of foreign currency as means of payment for any good that will strengthen the naira.

On the issue of unemployment, Sen.Nwoko says its only when person are satisfy that he will have reserved, he advice President Tinubu to used foreign reserved to created employment, yes as soft loan to the needy that only way Nigeria will go out this current situations.

On the issue of kidnapping and insecurity across the country, Sen.Nwoko called for the introduction of a bill that allows civilians to own and carry firearms.

He noted that the bill was important following the security challenges, particularly the recent kidnapping and killings across the country…

“I am pleased that the topic has gained national significance, sparking diverse opinions and discussions because what Nigeria need now is how to defend themselves in the situation were security agencies cannot help them because in law self defence is allowed he said..

Senator Nwoko added, the evident of how his personal Aids was kidnapped from the estate in Delta state till today without rescue.

“Allowing law-abiding citizens to possess firearms could potentially provide a sense of security and a means to protect themselves and their families from immediate threats.”The Delta senator noted that to avoid sabotage and abuse, several streams of control must be exercised to ensure control.

He said, “However, it is crucial to emphasise that the initiative to permit firearm ownership is accompanied by stringent regulations and comprehensive training.

“This approach ensures that firearms are in the hands of responsible individuals who understand the gravity of such ownership and are equipped to handle these weapons safely.

“The illegal smuggling of arms is a significant concern due to the prohibition on bearing arms. Introducing licensed dealerships for firearms could potentially address this issue by creating a regulated avenue for legal firearm acquisition.”
