In a heartfelt message of condolence, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, alongside Nigeria’s medical community, has expressed profound sorrow at the sudden passing of Dr. Alimi Mustapha. The late physician, known for his devotion to healing and service, was a distinguished member of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi.

Dr. Alimi, whose life was defined by purpose, humility, and compassion, left a lasting impact on the Nigerian Orthopaedic Association and the broader healthcare sector.

His passing is seen as a significant loss to both his colleagues and the countless individuals whose lives he touched with his skilled hands and caring heart.

In the tribute, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, CON, praised Dr. Alimi for his unshakable commitment to his patients and profession.

“On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and Nigeria’s medical community, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the management and staff of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, and to the family of our late brother and colleague, Dr. Alimi Mustapha, on his sudden and painful passing.”

“Dr. Alimi was a dedicated physician whose quiet devotion and skilled hands brought healing and hope to many. His professional journey reflected a life anchored in purpose, humility, and compassion—virtues that speak deeply to the spirit of true service.”

“His passing is a profound loss to the Nigerian Orthopaedic Association and the wider health community. Yet, in this moment of grief, we are reminded that those who serve with sincerity are elevated—not only in the eyes of their peers, but in the unseen realms where every act of care is recorded.”

“As we mourn his demise, we pray that the Almighty Allah, in His boundless mercy, grants him Jannatul Firdous. May his family, colleagues, and all who knew him find solace in the remembrance of Allah and in the enduring legacy of kindness he leaves behind.”

The Minister prayed for Jannatul Firdous for the late physician, extending condolences to his family, colleagues, and the medical community at large.

As Nigeria mourns, the legacy of Dr. Alimi’s kindness and professional excellence endures, reminding all of the profound impact of selfless service
