In a recent press conference, Honourable Patrick Umoh, the member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency in Akwa Ibom State, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his presentation of the 2025 budget proposal. The House Committee chairman on health institutions described the budget as in line with the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.
Umoh praised the “ambitious budgetary proposal” presented by Tinubu, stating that it would support crucial aspects of national life such as national and social security, and social economy reforms. He expressed his excitement over the budget presentation and called for cooperation between Ministries and Government agencies to ensure the budget’s success and deliver promised dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
“I must commend President Bola Tinubu for this courage to come up with this budget of national consolidation. Yes, it is in line with the renewed hope agenda. This budget will consolidate on the budget performance index of 2024”. He said.
While acknowledging the economic pressures facing the country, Umoh urged Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu, highlighting the progress made in just eighteen months in office. He assured that with Tinubu at the helm, the country’s development would improve.
“I know there is pressure on our economy but I am very happy with the steps President Bola Tinubu is taking to address issues, he is doing his very best and I assure all Nigerians that things will get better with Tinubu on the saddle.” He added.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presented a N47.96 trillion budget proposal to a joint session of the National Assembly, emphasizing the need for national consolidation and economic stability.
