Sen.Ned Nwoko Describes the Killing of 2-year old in Delta State as Barbaric,Calls for Compensation

The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Sen Ned Nwoko has describes the killing of 2 years old toddler in Delta state as barbaric and called for compensation.

Sen.Nwoko also condemned the action of the Nigerian Drug law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with strong term.
According to him, in every society,the family of the victim must be compensated with the believed that any other family can suffered similar situation.

Senator Nwoko stated this on Wednesday while speaking to press at the National Assembly in Abuja. He further warned those who are carrying gun that they must show discipline in the way and manner they use these guns. Stressing that Nigeria cannot afford to continue losing innocent citizens in the hand of those who suppose to protect them.

He says,irrespective of the of status of any one,Nigerians deserve to live and not to be killed by those who are being paid to protect them and their properties.

He expressed his condolence to the family of the victim, assured that the perpetrators of the killing will not go scot free.

Sen Ned said that what led to this must be properly investigated timely and prescribed sanctions applied maximally.

Sen. Nwoko therefore called on security agencies to conduct proper background check and ensure those who are to be recruited pass through mental health test, adding that this will put a stop to avoidable killings of innocent people by the armed operatives of the Nation’s security agencies.

The Senator Nwoko has earlier today sponsored a motion on the floor of the Senate titled: ”Need to investigate the incessant and nefarious acts of crude oil Thefts in the Niger Delta and it’s actors.

Senator Nwoko assured Nigerians that both chambers of National Assembly would continue to support Security agencies in ensuring adequate protection of lives and properties of the citizens regardless of their social status and also put a stop to incessant killings being perpetrated by some bad eggs in the Nation’s Law Enforcement Agencies.

In conclusion ,he has offered to sponsor a bill for the establishment of a commission to carter for such unforseen situations where the victims and families are left of their own.
