The committee of federal character suspend recruitment of 600 staff in FCT Internal Revenue service Violation of Federal Character:

The house Represtative Commttee on federal character has order the immediate Suspend of 600 Staff recruited in FCT Internal Revenue Service for violating the federal character procedure.
The chairman of the committee, Hon.Abubakar Kusada gave the directive in an interactive meeting with the management of FCT Internal Revenue service lead by the chairman Mr Abdullahi Attah at the National assembly in Abuja.
The committee has express disappointment the manner FCT IRS conducted the recruitment of 600 staff with disregards to the provision of chapter ll section 14 (3) and the third schedule part l c &(1) of the federal Republic of Nigeria as amended on the agency recruitment.

Speaking with Dargic news, the chairman of the committee hon.Abubakar Kusada has order the management to submit the list of all the 600 staff, state and local government to the committee ,he also directed the agency to attached the list of( 38,000) thirty thousand applicants applied for the Job.

sequel to this, the committee chairman vide a letter on 13 October 2021 had requested that the Executive chairman FC T Internal Revenue Service Mr Abdullahi Attah to avail the committee the documents relating to the excercise. Further more,
the committee has requested 50 hard copies and a soft copy of the documents to the committee not later than Monday October 18th 2021.

The committee have resolved that The Chairman of FCT IRS,parmenent secretary of ministry of FCT, Director of Human Resources and Head of legal services of the agency and also the Chairman federal character commission to appear unfairly on Tuesday October 26th 2021.
Dargic news, verify further to know why the law makers take such actions it was review that the recruitment list of 600 staff the six north-East state have 144 slots, the six north-central States and FCT got 237, North-west states got 106, the five south -East States got 26 slots, south-south states got 38 slots and the six south west states got 37 slots.
