In a major political development that has stirred excitement across the Federal Capital Territory, seasoned governance advocate and media consultant Sunny Anderson Osiebe has officially declared his candidacy for the House of Representatives seat representing AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency.

Osiebe, known for his tireless work within Nigeria’s legislative space, made the announcement following months of consultations with stakeholders, family, and supporters. His declaration marks a significant transition from over a decade of high-impact advocacy into frontline politics.

“After ten years of shaping governance conversations and advocating from the outside, I believe the time is ripe to step into the chambers and shape legislation from within,” Osiebe said in a heartfelt address.

As Convener of HallowMace Foundation Africa, a leading non-governmental platform for legislative advocacy, Osiebe has been at the forefront of national development initiatives, transparency campaigns, and citizen engagement strategies. His deep-rooted knowledge of parliamentary processes, policy-making, and governance reform places him among the most experienced aspirants in the race.

With a campaign built around legislative excellence, FCT-focused development, transparency, and youth empowerment, Osiebe promises issue-based engagement and a vision centered on giving the FCT the voice and action-oriented representation it deserves.

“My decision to step into the political arena stems from a deep-seated conviction cultivated over ten years of dedicated service within and around the National Assembly,” declared Mr. Osiebe.

“I have witnessed firsthand the power of effective legislation to uplift communities and shape the nation’s destiny. Having advocated for good governance, participatory democracy, and development from the outside, I am now compelled to step forward and contribute my wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion directly from within the hallowed chambers of the House of Representatives. Abuja, our nation’s capital, deserves dynamic, experienced, and responsive representation that truly understands the intricacies of lawmaking and its impact on development.”

Mr. Osiebe’s core platform pillars will focus on:

  1. Elevating Legislative Standards: Leveraging his deep expertise to foster more efficient, transparent, and impactful legislative practices.
  2. FCT-Focused Development: Championing tailored infrastructural development, improved social services (education, healthcare), enhanced security, and economic opportunities specifically addressing the unique needs of the FCT and its residents.
  3. Good Governance & Accountability: Strengthening mechanisms for transparency, citizen engagement, and holding public institutions accountable.
  4. Empowering Constituents: Ensuring robust constituency representation, active citizen participation in governance, and effective feedback mechanisms.
  5. Youth Engagement & Inclusion: Creating platforms and policies that actively engage and empower the youth within the constituency and the nation.

Mr. Osiebe pledges to run a campaign rooted in integrity, focused on issues, and dedicated to listening to the aspirations and concerns of every resident in the constituency.

“I am not just seeking a seat; I am seeking a mandate to serve, to translate my advocacy into tangible action, and to work tirelessly for the progress of our constituency and Nigeria as a whole,”
Mr. Osiebe emphasized.

“I humbly ask for the support, trust, and votes of the good people of AMAC BWARI Federal Constituency as we embark on this journey together towards a more prosperous, effectively governed, and representative future.”
