“So Nigeria has, to its credit, been the very first country to deploy police officers to any UN peacekeeping operations. In 2004, once again, the Nigerian police force became the very first in Africa to deploy a phone police unit, which is our own version of the mobile police unit, to the UN mission in Liberia. So later, in the other years, we have had similar deployments of phone police units

Also Senator Ned Nwoko commended the team noting their experience in what they are doing. “You know exactly what needs to be done. You might not have the necessary support now, the financial support, to achieve all that you set out to achieve.

“But I can well assure you that this committee led by the chairman here, will do anything and everything possible to support and equip you in upgrading you and your facilities so as to tackle terrorism and other problems within Africa.”
