The Chairman of the House Committee on Sports Development and member representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, Hon. Kabiru Amadu Maipalace, has launched a large-scale distribution of food items and cash to 2,000 households across Gusau and Tsafe Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.

The initiative, part of his economic intervention project, includes 2,000 bags of rice, 2,000 cartons of spaghetti, and ₦10 million in cash, aimed at alleviating the hardship faced by vulnerable residents.

Speaking during the flag-off ceremony in Gusau on Monday, Hon. Maipalace said the gesture was designed to support struggling families and improve their welfare amid the current economic challenges.

“This is part of my project to enhance the socio-economic activities of my constituents,” he stated.

Represented by his secretary, Mustafa Hassan, the lawmaker explained that each beneficiary would receive a 50kg bag of rice and a packet of spaghetti, with cash support shared among selected groups, including women and youth associations, community leaders, politicians, and vulnerable households.

He emphasized that the intervention was a continuation of his efforts to bring relief and promote inclusive growth within the constituency.

Some beneficiaries, including Salamatu Ishaq and Aminu Muhammad, lauded the lawmaker’s gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that would ease the burden of feeding their families.

According to them, the support demonstrates Maipalace’s commitment to the well-being of his people and his responsiveness to their needs.
